The historic Grand Hotel Saltsjöbaden is located in the Stockholm Archipelago, a 20-minute drive from Stockholm city centre. The staff was super friendly. Very clean and the breakfast was amazing. Highly recommended.

Siggesta Gård is located in the countryside of Värmdö and offers a sun terrace, parking, bookable sauna and hot tub. WiFi are free for guests. This hotel was perfect for our weekend retreat. While located in the beautiful countryside, it's still easy to reach from Stockholm center. The room was spacious and nicely decorated, and the bed was extra comfy! We especially loved the breakfast buffet made from local organic ingredients.

Set by a fortress from 1735, this waterfront hotel on Värmdö Island offers impressive views of Solöfjärden and the surrounding archipelago. We wanted a break from hard travel and are so glad we chose Fredriksborg. The rooms are very simple with a terrific outlook. The location is remarkable, on a hill above the deep water channel going in and out of Stockholm. The first time we saw a huge ship gliding by above eye level was a happy surprise. The dinner served at their restaurant was superb. But the best of all is the staff. They take great pride in the history of the location and its role in the defense of Stockholm in centuries past. Pontus (spelling ?) went out of his way to show us the property as well as to drive us to the ferry for the return to Stockholm. We were very appreciative.

Set in Stockholm’s beautiful archipelago, first-class hotel and conference centre Fågelbrohus offers a historic setting in Värmdölandet, just a 35 minute drive from the centre of Stockholm. The landscapes, the views of nature and open space, the food was absolutely magical, the service staff were all kind and professional and the room was spacious, clean and cozy. They upgraded us for free because we were celebrating our anniversary.

This hotel lies on Stockholm's archipelago coast, 200 metres from Saltsjöbaden Train Station. It offers free WiFi and private parking. This is our 5th visit to Sweden. This time, I chose a hotel outside the city, a quiet but charming place, and that's exactly Var Gard. Staff very friendly and helpful. Breakfast abundant, beautiful location and above all, the comfiest bed ever!

Quiet, peaceful. Kayaks and swimming right there. Staff is amazing. Breakfast spread is wonderful. Restaurant for dinner has amazing dishes. There are hiking trails across the road. You can take the bus to town if you want to explore or go to a different restaurant.
